Maida : 1 cup
Milk : 3 cups
Cashew nuts : 10
Sugar : 1 cup
Cardamom : a few
Saffron : a pinch
Oil : a little
Salt ; a pinch
Method
Make dough with maida and a pinch for 30 minutes. Roll out it into thin pooris and deep fry.Grind cashew nuts and cardamom to a coarse powder.Boil the milk till it reduces to half. Add sugar, saffron, the cashew- cardamom mixture and continue to boil on a low flame. Remove milk from flame add the pooris one by one and let soak. Remove the polis from the milk and store separately as the soaked polis tend to stick.Serve hot or chilled.
